My approach

I combine Existential Therapy, which focuses on finding meaning in life, with mindfulness practices that encourage present-moment awareness and nonjudgmental observation. This allows you to experience thoughts and feelings fully without being overwhelmed. I also draw from Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed, and Narrative Therapy.

I create a safe, supportive space for you to explore your experiences while developing coping skills and symptom-reduction strategies uniquely tailored to your needs.

My journey to mental healthcare

Since childhood, I've been the go-to person for friends, family, and even strangers. People feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with me, and I respond with empathy and active listening.

The client-centered approach is prioritized, focusing on identifying the specific needs/strengths of the client while collaboratively setting goals that are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) to ensure that progress can be tracked/adjusted as needed.

During our first session, I'll work to understand what brought you to therapy and what you're struggling with. This may involve exploring family history, traumatic experiences, and mental health symptoms. Equally important, we'll begin building rapport and a sense of collaboration.
