My communication style

My sessions should feel warm and inviting. At every session I will ask you, 'what's going on?' I'm able to sit back and let you talk through your stressors with guided prompts or I can be more directive and challenging. This is something I like to focus on in our first session so I can get a good feel of what you're looking for in therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am so happy that you're here and that's why I am here too. Every day is a new adventure and I love to collaborate to work towards a common goal. I'm passionate, patient and driven to help empower my clients to provoke change in themselves and their circumstance - as they've determined is necessary.

My goals for you

You might be starting therapy with a laundry list of goals. While I applaud the intuitive, let’s slow down and pick 1-2 at a time to really hone in on your needs, wants, and desires. We will build goal setting into our first session, but can continue to elaborate on this for 1-2 sessions after as needed.

Our first session

Our first session will be an assessment/get to know you session. I want to explore what has prompted you to therapy - tell me as much or as little as you deem necessary. I want you to trust me, so I strive to make this session feel less intimidating that it might seem.
