I have been working in the field of social work for 35+ years, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in Illinois. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work at Aurora University and have a wealth of experience, and I am ready to help you make positive changes in your life.

My focus

I provide therapy to clients of a variety of ages. I have experience with children, teens, and adults struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, poor Coping Skills, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem issues, and Self-Regulation Skills.

I use a holistic approach to therapy, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based, and Compassion-focused treatment to identify therapy goals that fit each client's individual needs. I provide evidence-based treatment with understanding and strategies to help clients make necessary changes for their well-being and peace of mind.

My communication style is to provide a compassionate therapy experience. I will do my best to listen to you to provide insight and teach strategies to help you make changes in your life. I'll check in with you regularly to make sure that you are getting what you need from the therapy process.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been a helper with my family and friends, and when I took my first class in counseling in college, I knew it was the right career for me. I believe strongly that change is possible and that sometimes someone on the outside can provide that insight that might be difficult to see on your own.

I believe in the power of change. I will work together with you to identify what is important to you in life, and then we will look at your experiences, behavior patterns, and coping skills to create a therapeutic plan to reach your goals.

Each client's experience is unique, so my first session is always spent listening to your story. I want to understand your specific challenges and life experiences so you feel supported and comfortable growing and making necessary changes in your life.
