Hi there, I'm Carolyn!

I am a skilled therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have conducted individual, group, couples, and family therapies. I have worked with clients challenged with anxiety, depression, relationship/family issues, and many other concerns. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

I truly enjoy my work, and my clients have been successful. I work with clients challenged with anxiety, depression, relationship/family adjustments, and even individuals having difficulty making decisions. I welcome the opportunity to work with you and for you.

My approach

To assist my clients in reaching their goals, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities. My clients have responded to Cognitive Behavior therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy, client-centered therapy, and many more. I use a strength-based approach, which allows my clients to feel comfortable and supported.

My communication style

My clients find me to be very supportive and easy to talk to. I create an environment of acceptance, and clients are comfortable disclosing their feelings and concerns. My clients are supported as they navigate the therapy encounter.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am an effective communicator and have an innate ability to make clients feel comfortable. I totally enjoy working with my clients, and it is my life's work. I believe that everyone has the right to enjoy life, find peace, be accepted, and conquer challenges.

My goals for you

Goal setting is client-directed. My clients come to therapy for a variety of reasons. After processing the concern, I work with my clients to set goals that assist them in feeling better and ultimately finding peace with situations. I firmly believe that clients have a right to self-determination.

Our first session

During the first session, my goal is to begin establishing a rapport with my client. Therapy works best when the client feels that the therapist is someone they are comfortable with and can trust. I create a warm, welcoming environment that allows the client to learn about the therapist and what to expect.
