Kizawanda Olowe

Kizawanda Olowe is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She has provided therapy to clients for over a decade. She works with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, stress management, school-related matters, and career challenges. She believes in providing a safe space for clients to be vulnerable and explore solutions to difficult concerns and issues.

My approach

I approach psychotherapy using various strategies to help my clients brainstorm solutions to the issues they are grappling with. My specialties include depression, stress management, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, school-related issues, and life transitions. The therapeutic modalities I use consist of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Strength-based Therapy.

My communication style entails active listening, reflection, and clarifying questions so that I can support my clients in the best way possible. I use a soft tone, open posture, and affirming statements to support my clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist to help people learn more about themselves by creating a safe and supportive space for them to discuss their lives in meaningful ways. My goal is to help people live their best and most authentic lives.

Clients will be able to discuss their lives in an empathetic and confidential environment. I will listen, reflect, and discuss how I can be of support for the client to reach their goals so that they can have the life they desire.
