I am a therapist with experience working with clients from ages 12 and up on a wide range of mental health issues and life challenges. My approach is collaborative, multicultural, and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals.
My approach
I see therapy as a collaborative process where I work closely with clients to help them achieve their own goals. I use a multicultural lens and view each client as the expert of their own lived experience. Treatment is catered to the individual, as success looks different for every person.
My focus
I work with clients from ages 12 and up. I have experience helping individuals manage major life transitions, relationship problems, grief and loss, and other challenges. My specialties include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, coping skills, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-esteem, stress, sports performance, and trauma/PTSD.
My communication style
I aim to create an open, supportive partnership with clients. Therapy with me is a teamwork process where we work together to help you reach your goals in a way that resonates with you. I see you as the authority on your own experiences and tailor my approach to your individual needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
I acquired my clinical hours for licensure between August 2018 and August 2020. My journey to mental healthcare has been driven by a desire to help people live happier, more fulfilling lives by overcoming challenges, building on strengths, and working towards their self-determined goals.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with greater self-understanding, coping skills, and resilience to navigate life's ups and downs. I want to help you feel heard, supported, and equipped with strategies to improve your mental well-being and achieve more satisfaction and success, whatever that means to you.
My first session with you
In our first session, we'll discuss what's brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. I'll ask about your background, current situation, and any symptoms you're experiencing. Most importantly, I want to get a sense of who you are, what's important to you, and how I can best support you. It's a chance for us to start getting to know each other and collaboratively plan our work together.
