Hi there, I'm Deborah!

Thank you so much for reaching out. My name is Debbie and I am a licensed clinical social worker as well as somatic practitioner. This is a space for you to feel free to be yourself and ask any questions that you may have. Taking a step towards learning about yourself is huge and I look forward to working with you!

My focus

Typically when clients come to me it is because they have tried it all. I help blend modern therapy, body-focused techniques, and intuitive guidance to help you gain another perspective. Some sessions may be thought provoking and I am here to help empower you through whatever season you are in.

My approach

I am a heart-centered therapist and somatic practitioner. I help guide individuals through deep emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. With a blend of therapeutic practices and body-focused techniques, I help create a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their inner world and connect with their truest selves.

I am very intentional about how I speak and what I share during our sessions. I can be candid and honest if something arises or that style works for you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I always knew I'd be a therapist from a young age and I was fortunate that nothing stopped me. I began to focus on somatic and wellness practices in the last few years including helping to host a festival in AL. I believe that talk therapy and body-focused methods work very well together and practice this daily for myself as well.

Our first session

Our first session is very laid back, we get to know each other and make sure it's a good fit. I will ask questions about your background and current circumstances, basically what's bringing you to therapy. I am open to answering your questions as well and then we will coordinate next steps and goal setting.
