My communication style

I take a conversational approach and focus on creating connection and trust. I will challenge you to leave behind unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns that do not serve you and will do so with sensitivity and compassion. Celebrating success is incredibly important, and I hope that you leave each session feeling validated and hopeful.

My journey to mental healthcare

My interest in the unique ways that people view and engage with the world led me to degrees in Cultural Anthropology and an MSW. The combination of culture and therapy has been instrumental in framing my practice. I find much fulfillment in supporting others through transition and guiding them to find their own empowered path to change.

My goals for you

My approach is to guide clients to set goals through a process of identifying what change they want to see, choosing goals that align with their values, and ensuring that goals are concrete and attainable. Once goals are set, we will together identify steps, brainstorm around barriers, and make a plan for reviewing and revising goals as needed.

Our first session

In our first session, we will review some of the "must-covers" (confidentiality, cancellation policy, etc.), but most of the session will focus on getting to know each other and outlining your goals. It is common to feel nervous about the first session; please note, I will do everything I can to create a sense of comfort and safety.
