I work with adolescents, teens, and adults using various treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. I specialize in working with youth with harmful sexual behaviors and juvenile victims of sexual abuse.

My approach

I help you manage depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and family conflict to create a more positive outlook. Each person is unique, so we develop your own set of goals and personal approach. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to alter thought patterns and create lasting change.

I bring calmness to our sessions as we work on change in your pain, behaviors, family dynamics, and whatever you need. We develop skills that empower you to see your life through a lens of healing. This is achieved through open communication, free from judgment, and meeting you where you are.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always been a natural observer and listener. I bring a sense of quiet calm to situations that allow others to open up. I have always been a helper and one to problem solve, so this was a natural journey for me.

Goal setting is collaborative based on the initial assessment and ongoing therapy. It is a mutual agreement as to the needs you present with and a development of goals to achieve change.

The first session consists of an overall assessment to ensure I'm a good fit for your needs by helping to understand your path. It is a combination of questions and answers to gain insight into your needs. This is the beginning of building a therapeutic alliance.
