My communication style

I value authentic and open communication. I encourage you to express yourself freely and genuinely in therapy. Communication in therapy flows both ways, and providing honest feedback to each other is key to progress. My style is down-to-earth, and I make space for humor, which adds to your level of comfort in sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

As long as I can remember, I have been drawn to understanding and helping people. My journey as a therapist has been inspiring. I am continually amazed at the power of therapy to change people's lives. My work with trauma survivors illustrates how clients can become empowered to face what blocks healing, as can all types of clients.

My goals for you

Therapy goals are collaborative and reflect your needs, priorities, and strategies that are most likely to help you reach your goals. As you experience issues in your life, I will work with you to adapt your goals. You will practice skills learned in therapy in your daily life between sessions. This builds confidence in handling your challenges.

Our first session

In our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy and which issues and symptoms you would like to address. We will discuss the therapy process, and I will answer any questions you may have. We will get to know each other a bit and will work together to identify an initial plan for your therapy.
