I have been a LCSW in the State of Kentucky for 16 years. My experience has been with all age groups for individual, couples, families and substance abuse. I have worked in community mental health, in-patient psychiatry, medical hospital, outpatient medically assisted clinics, primary care offices, in-home therapy, and private practice.
My approach
I utilize evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Therapy, and Dialectal Behavior Therapy. Theoretical approaches used include cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and systemic.
My focus
I typically work with a very diverse group of individuals with a wide range of mental health problems. Depression. Anxiety. PTSD. OCD. ADHD. Bipolar Disorder. Work Stressors. Relationship problems. Addiction. Childhood and Adulthood Trauma.
My communication style
I enjoy meeting new clients and sharing their life experiences. I create a safe space that allows for the development of trust. I tend to be relaxed and I have a good sense of humor. I focus on strengths and work to develop healthy coping skills to improve your life.
