I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner.

My journey to mental healthcare

I took my first psychology class in college and fell in love with it. Initially, I was interested in understanding reports of mental illness in my own family. I wanted to find out what had happened and what caused it.

My goals for you

I work for you and will be open to your feedback. I will ask you to tell me what you would like to accomplish with counseling. We will work together to help you set goals that are specific and achievable. We will review your goals and progress and make adjustments as needed.

Our first session

I begin most of my initial sessions by asking you questions so that I can get to know you better. I will also use this time to understand what your goals are.
