Hi there, I'm Michelle!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and EMDR-trained therapist. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, and major life changes. My approach is affirming, person-centered, and grounded in real talk, practical support, and helping you feel safe enough to be yourself.

My focus

I work especially well with LGBTQIA+ adults and clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity concerns, addiction, or major life changes. I also support people who feel unseen, disconnected, or tired of carrying everything alone and want a space where they don’t have to edit who they are.

My approach

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I use EMDR, DBT-informed skills, and other evidence-based approaches based on what fits you best. You don’t have to come in with the “right” words or a perfectly organized story—we’ll start where you are and work from there.

My communication style

My style is warm, affirming, honest, and collaborative. You can speak openly without judgment, pressure, or pretending everything is fine. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and gently help you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck while supporting you at a pace that feels right.

My journey to mental healthcare

My path to this work is personal. I lost my eyesight after significant trauma, and later in life I found the courage to come out and live more authentically. Therapy helped me process both pain and growth. Those experiences shaped my belief that healing can begin when we finally have room to be fully ourselves.

My goals for you

We’ll set goals together around what matters most to you—not what therapy is “supposed” to look like. I help turn overwhelming concerns into realistic steps, build on your strengths, and adjust as life changes. We’ll keep therapy connected to the changes you actually want in your everyday life.

Our first session

The first session is about getting to know you, not putting you under a microscope. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what has been weighing on you, what you want to change, and what has or hasn’t helped before. I’ll answer your questions, explain how I work, and we’ll decide together where to start.
