My approach

My dual degree is in Movement Therapy and Counseling, and I find meeting body needs important to improvements in mental and emotional health. I am also experienced in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This approach is helpful in problem-focused therapy as well as with skill building, and coping with stress, anxiety, and depression.

My communication style

I have a tendency towards directness but with compassion. My general tendencies towards clear reflection and soundboarding evolve with our relationship.

That moment when the lightbulb goes on and you gain understanding of yourself in a way that makes you able to see a different approach or path than you're on. Everyone deserved that.

I tend to take a solution-focused approach based on an understanding of the why. When we know what is getting in your way, the WHY helps us make changes.

Our first session

First sessions are a bit different than those that follow. There are more questions about history and background to help me begin to learn what your experience is like, so that I can make a professional assessment, and then a recommendation on what sort of care is the right fit for you.
