Hi there, I'm Sarah!

I enjoy working with young adult and adult women using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and providing a client-centered, strengths-based, positive, and non-judgmental setting.

My focus

I specialize in Maternal Mental Health, working with women who are experiencing challenges during pregnancy, postpartum anxiety and/or depression, infertility, or parenting. I also enjoy working with women who are going through a difficult life transition, have anxiety, sleep or social challenges, marital struggles, or stress.

My approach

My approach is tailored to each client's needs and personality. I most often use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to facilitate healthier thought patterns and Strengths-Based Therapy, a positive approach utilizing your own strengths for sustainability. This combination allows for great progress and lasting improvement.

My communication style

My communication style is warm, calming, and comforting. I practice active listening and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable being open and honest.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist because I wanted to help people in a significant way. I am a big believer in therapy and truly feel each person can benefit from it. My outside perspective and judgment-free role allow me to provide that aid and change my clients' lives for the better.

My goals for you

Setting goals is a task that we will complete together once I have learned about you and your reasons for seeking therapy. We will work towards accomplishing these goals but also keep them fluid and be able to adjust them over time.

Our first session

The first session is mainly information-gathering, as I learn about what brought you to therapy. It is also your opportunity to get to know me and start our therapy journey together. I will meet you where you are at and maintain patience as you set the pace for discussing topics that may be difficult.
