I focus on building strong client-provider relationships through interpersonal communication. I am an effective listener while also paying attention to non-verbal cues.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up, I have always had a passion for helping the elderly and the less privileged in my community. My passion motivated me to go into nursing. I completed my internship in one of the largest state Mental Health Institutions in Maryland. I had concluded that working in a mental health hospital was what I wanted to do.

My goals for you

The process of goal setting, individualized, client-driven goals can be supported by encouraging the client to; Think about different areas of his or her life, identify specific areas that he or she is dissatisfied with or that he or she would like to improve upon. Articulate the changes that he or she would like to see.

Our first session

Getting to know one another; encourage openness; Going over what the client wants to accomplish; Clarifying goals and expectations; Providing Assurance; collaborative approach; active listening. Assuring that Mental Illness is not a taboo. Together we can do this.
