My communication style

I use assertive communication to provide a structured, yet judgment-free environment to create therapeutic relationships with my clients during our sessions. A session with my client consists of mutual respect and adherence to the client’s privacy and safety. I allow patients to fully express their ideas and feelings regarding treatment options.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a mental health provider began after my family member had a mental health crisis in 1999. The quality of care and genuine support they received from the healthcare team during their episode had a profound impact on my understanding of the importance of the work involved in mental healthcare.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting with patients begins with active listening, where I allow the patients to express their priorities, concerns, and limitations. I utilize my findings to collaborate with patients to determine their desired outcomes to set specific time-bound goals that are measurable, attainable, and relevant to their issues and concerns.

Our first session

A patient should expect a professional, structured, yet judgment-free engagement with me during our first session. I am personable with my patients and desire for my sessions to be genuine and authentic interactions, where we both get to know each other to establish a therapeutic relationship.
