My communication style

Healing and growth occur in a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. I recognize the courage it takes to enter therapy when you're experiencing emotional pain and feeling vulnerable. I will always work hard to build a therapeutic relationship that helps you heal and grow, treating you with respect and communicating openly and honestly.

My journey to mental healthcare

Psychology is my calling. In college, I initially studied accounting, but psychology courses resonated with me spiritually and changed my trajectory. Though I am sensitive to human suffering, it has been rewarding and a privilege to work with individuals who trusted me with their pain and treatment.

My goals for you

Goal setting is collaborative. Many begin therapy wanting to simply feel better—that's a good goal! We'll identify what feeling better looks like for you and how you'll know you're making progress. We start with manageable, short-term goals that become clearer over time. I will support you in your goals and help you see your path forward.

Our first session

The first session is spent understanding what prompted you to seek treatment. I'll ask about current stressors, symptoms, mental health history, and your treatment goal. I'll share my approach and answer questions. The first session can be overwhelming, so I'll ask you to reflect on your comfort level before continuing.
