I approach therapy with compassion and empathy while being honest, genuine, and direct. I will provide a nurturing, safe environment in which you can be true to yourself without judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my career as a therapist in midlife when I realized I could not meet the emotional and mental health needs of my adolescent students as a classroom teacher. I discovered an innate ability to meet kids where they were at and provide quiet stability and a listening ear.

My goals for you

The first session or two is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. During this time, we will determine if we are a good fit for therapy. I will share my observations, and together we will create a treatment plan based on your personal goals.

Our first session

The required paperwork will be sent to you ahead of our first session. Our initial conversation will be when you tell me what brought you to therapy and what you hope it will accomplish. I will listen as you talk, sharing what you want me to know about you.
