My communication style

I strive to make a safe (er) environment for my clients. This is your session, your time. If you need to scream into the void during a session, I support you. If you need to say the swear words, I support you. If you need someone to just listen, someone to advocate, someone who can empathize, I support you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I never wanted to be a therapist! I wanted to be a social worker, but I imagined being a therapist as 40 hours for someone like me. It is nothing like that. I get to be with people in very vulnerable times. I get to be with people when they make steps forward. I get to hold space and be the person who makes people feel safe.

My goals for you

I find goal setting to be helpful for some folks, but I have seen others panic at the idea, feeling that it is a big countdown with an end of therapy at zero. We can figure out together what you need.

Our first session

I want to know what brought you here, why, at this point in your life, you started (or restarted) your journey. I will also ask a lot of personal questions! We'll do a bit of a 'flyover,' but we are not going to get into the nitty-gritty one day. If there's a question I ask that you're not ready to share, that's ok.
