My communication style

When you work with me, you can expect to be heard. I do my best to understand both what brought you to see me in the first place and what your goals are with seeking treatment. I will never force my opinion on you, but I will offer you the best guidance I can to ensure that you reach your goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

Hurricane Katrina came just two months after I moved to New Orleans, and overnight, I was homeless and jobless. The compassion shown to me by others during this difficult time made me realize that I wanted to have a career where I could give back to my community.

My goals for you

Patients in my practice are in charge of setting their goals for treatment. I offer them direction and realistic expectations, discuss areas of concern that they might not have thought of, and encourage them to look at all possibilities.

Our first session

During our first session, we will discuss you! I want to know how I can best help you and what is causing you to struggle at this time. We will go over your personal history, medical history, and psychiatric history. This is the chance for me to get to understand who you are and what you want out of treatment.
