My communication style

I support safe and open communication within our sessions, using mindfulness/meditation techniques to quiet the mind, light humor, and nonjudgment to support your needs. Confidentiality is critical and is provided to create a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings during your private session.

My journey to mental healthcare

Before becoming a therapist, I worked for over 20 years as a licensed social worker in Maine. I decided I needed to learn how to help others overcome hardships and provide education to individuals and families about active steps that could improve overall well-being.

My goals for you

Treatment goals are developed in session with each individual, and steps to achieving each goal are built upon the client's strengths and skills.

Our first session

An assessment will occur at the first session, which will include my sharing information about my office hours, practice information, and confidentiality. I will ask if there is an urgent stressor that needs to be discussed, and time will be set aside to meet your needs.
