My communication style

I work from a strengths-based perspective. I hope to create a safe, judgment-free space for you to share openly and honestly. Sessions usually center on processing thoughts and emotions while learning skills to practice in between sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

One of my first internships was in a residential treatment center providing therapeutic services to those in early recovery from substance abuse. This experience helped me realize I could help people create change in a positive and supportive way. Witnessing a person's growth and change is very powerful, and I am honored to provide that support.

My goals for you

It is important for you to identify your own goals for therapy. I tell clients to think of it like a map. You determine the destination where you want to go, and I try to come up with the best route with you to make sure you can get there. I make sure to check in frequently about your goals to ensure we are making appropriate progress.

Our first session

The first session is called an intake session. I explain the scope of therapy and use this time to understand with you the reasons you are seeking services and what you would like to accomplish in therapy.
