Hi there, I'm Catherine!

My name is Catherine Avery, and I specialize in ADHD. I have evaluated over 5,000 folks for ADHD and have seen many ADHD adults in therapy. I have 3 children with ADHD, and I have ADHD myself. I have a great deal of knowledge that can help ADHD adults navigate their worlds, and I do so with compassion, knowledge, and a healthy dose of humor.

My focus

I enjoy working with ADHD adults, but can also provide support and education for parents of ADHD children. Through PSYPACT, I can conduct virtual sessions across 42 states.

My approach

After 35 years in the field, I have accumulated a great deal of knowledge on the topic of ADHD. Sharing that information in a way that is affirming and supportive can be life-changing for adults and can provide tools for moving forward in a more self-affirming manner.

My communication style

I am a warm and affirming person. I love to laugh at the crazy world we ADHD adults find ourselves in, although I also relate to the pain of having lifelong features that can foster guilt and unhappiness.

ADHD adults are easily overwhelmed by too many goals. We will choose initial goals that will help to alleviate the most stressful components of your life. Throughout this process, insights into how ADHD has impacted your sense of self over the years will be addressed.
