Hi there, I'm Annika!

It can be awkward finding a therapist and working through very vulnerable issues and concerns. I seek to provide a safe space where we can simply talk, be curious and work through some difficult parts of life together.

My focus

My particular niche is narcissistic abuse but I love to work within the realm of complex trauma, attachment styles and inner child healing. I also have a lot of clients that come to me with life changes, anxiety, depression, etc. I enjoy working with the LGBTQIA community as well as first responders.

My approach

I approach sessions with a curiosity about your life. I provide a non-judgmental space to process issues, and sometimes my sense of humor makes an appearance as well. I specialize in complex trauma, life adjustments and attachment. I look forward to walking along side you on your journey of self healing!

My communication style

I am curious, kind and gently direct. I like to pose open ended questions and draw connections and patterns to our pasts, previous events and relationships to others.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had wanted to be a therapist from a young age. I was diverted into the corporate world working in finance and compliance; which was not a fit for me! I ended up getting laid off and decided to go back to school to become a therapist. It has been a great decision.

My goals for you

I like to check in with clients about how they feel progress is going. There are always tweaks we can make to the therapy sessions and I want to make sure we are on the same page with goals and that we are in collaboration with one another.

Our first session

I love to just get to know you in the first session and vice versa. It is important to have a good connection and be able to trust who you are working with. I will ask general questions about your background, concerns, etc and you are open to ask me what you would like as well.
