Hi there, I'm Sheila!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) based in the Jackson, Mississippi area and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with young adults, adolescents, specializing in anxiety, stress, and ADHD related issues.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens and young adults who may be dealing with challenges related to ADHD, life transitions, or struggles with feeling understood or appreciated by those in their circle of influence. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, and other unidentified trauma responses.
My approach
I most frequently use Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, as both modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of how each client naturally tends to handle stressors, which allows us to collaborate with one another in order to effectively navigate through the client's journey.
