Hi there, I'm Robin!

I use a holistic approach to therapy while fostering hope and curiosity in a safe, non-judgmental space that can lead to us learning how to better piece the puzzle(s) together. Focus areas of practice include: anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, women's health, and stress management.

My focus

I collaborate with adults who are dealing with conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I also enjoy working with people experiencing life challenges such as grief, relationship issues, women's health, and aging.

My approach

I use various therapy modalities that include: CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Strengths' Perspective, and Trauma-Informed therapies to include EMDR.

My communication style

Sessions are nonjudgmental, collaborative, and accepting. The environment is relaxed as I am working to understand your perspective and emotions with open ears (active listening) and reflection.

My journey to mental healthcare

I encountered traumatic losses as a teenager, which opened the door to questioning things, trying to see the bigger picture, and being the person that others came to with their problems. I personally believe that people are called to this profession, and I also enjoy learning something new every day.

My goals for you

Goal-setting is approached through open-ended conversations (that are ongoing) with the client as the therapist works to build a therapeutic alliance while honoring autonomy.

Our first session

A first session offers the client the opportunity to share what brought them to therapy today and anything else that's on their mind while I listen with no judgment, interest, and respect. Clients are also encouraged to ask me questions, as we are all curious beings, and it can help begin to build rapport.
