I provide support and counseling to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. I use a person-centered approach, allowing clients a safe space to feel heard and empowered to take ownership of their mental well-being. I typically work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use disorders, adjustment disorder, and schizophrenia. I also provide support for grief and stress.

My approach

I use motivational interviewing to explore reasons and motivation to change, cognitive behavioral to address unhelpful thought patterns, and trauma-informed care to acknowledge and explore the impact of trauma. My integrative approach ensures I address what you need while empowering you to take ownership of your mental well-being.

My communication style

Providing a safe space for clients, I aim to provide an inviting environment that is calm, warm, supportive, authentic, and assertive so clients feel comfortable sharing information. Clients feel welcomed, heard, and supported in their goals when working with me.

My journey to mental healthcare

Interning at a mental health agency attracted me to this career. I connected with clients naturally and understood their perspectives, which inspired me to pursue social work. It has been fulfilling and rewarding to assist clients in making positive changes in their lives.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting collaboratively using SMART goals to ensure they are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Goals are broken down into objectives and assessed throughout treatment.

During the first session, you can expect a safe space for your presenting problem to be heard. You will identify strengths and receive validation when appropriate. You will also be introduced to healthy coping strategies.
