I had negative experiences seeing therapists as a young adult that motivated me to become a highly ethical, effective clinical psychologist.

My goals for you

I seek to balance specificity with what works for you. Tell me what you want to change, in your own words, and we will start there. We might also need to document SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant/realistic, and time-bound), and that approach has benefits, but I will not obsess over it. These are your goals.

Our first session

The more information you can give me in advance, the more time we will have for you to tell me about yourself, the problems you face, and what you want to change. At the same time, a good assessment generally leads to better outcomes. Dr. Worthen cannot write letters or complete forms for employment or housing matters.
