My communication style

My communication style is calm, accommodating, personable, and transparent in nature. I want my client to feel comfortable in session and know that my approach is based on good intent always. I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment and encourage asking questions during sessions (no matter how trivial you may feel they are).

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to become a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. Whether it was as a friend, family member, or community member, I have always felt drawn to help in some capacity. I am very empathetic and strive to empower people from all walks of life, which is what led me to become a therapist.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust and getting comfortable with each other in the therapeutic environment.

Our first session

What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently, & me asking questions to better understand some of why you may be feeling that way. The first session is about us building an initial connection & helping me get a sense of where we should go from here.
