My communication style

I usually use a somewhat passive/assertive style of communication. The client directs the conversation, and I only intervene to ask clarifying questions and to help the conversation flow. If I wish to target a specific event, then I direct questions towards that space.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in a very chaotic and traumatic household. I was not able to lean on someone and did not learn until I was an adult the power of therapy. I would like to be a guiding hand for anyone who feels lost in the dark. I may not have all the answers, but they will know that they do not walk alone.

My goals for you

I help clients reach their goals by providing them with techniques to use when not in therapy. I also usually ask that clients practice these skills outside of therapy. I challenge certain thoughts to help broaden insight, and I walk with my client through the entire process.

Our first session

During the first session, I will take a biopsychosocial assessment to help me understand better the desire for therapy and the goals that are wanting to be worked towards. I will also ask a number of questions regarding interests, past therapeutic experiences, and any fears focused towards therapy.
