I like to get down to business. I feel that people usually start seeing a therapist when they are tired of feeling the way they do. I will work with you to unpack whatever you've got going on. I will speak frankly but gently to you about what we can do to make your life better.

My focus

My dream client would be someone who loves to learn. I am a big fan of sending my clients articles or homework so that way the clients can continue to work on their well-being in between sessions.

My approach

Im a big fan of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy! I use this to discuss unrealistic worries and realistic consequences. We will work on replacing unhelpful automatic thoughts with realistic and practical self-talk. I start where you are, and what is worrying you the most.

My communication style

I aim to provide an open and accepting environment for us to be able to discuss whatever is on your mind. I am calm and patient and will ask questions so that I may better understand the situation.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist after my father died when I was in my early twenties. I experienced people who were both helpful and unhelpful, and I wanted to be the type of person who can help improve a person's life.

My goals for you

We will discuss what goals you have and work on our treatment plan together. We will adapt and modify the treatment plan as your situation changes and improves.

Our first session

I will read all of your documentation before seeing you. You and I will discuss what you would like to work on in therapy first, and what ways you like to learn about new information. I hope that after the end of our first session you feel some brightness and hope and are ready to get to work.
