Hi there, I'm Vinaiya!

I am an advocate and activist at heart. I specialize in supporting adolescents and women as they (re)discover their voice, build confidence and self-awareness, and create meaningful paths forward. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

My focus

I work primarily with adolescents and women who are navigating identity, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. I have a special focus on supporting women who have not been poured into — those who grew up without guidance, support, or a clear example of how to pursue their goals.

My approach

My approach to care is warm, affirming, and collaborative. I believe healing happens in safe, nonjudgmental spaces where you feel seen and supported. Together, we’ll explore your story, identify patterns that don't serve you, and gently build tools that align with your values and goals.

My communication style

My communication style is direct yet compassionate. I show up with honesty and care, creating a space where you can be your full self without fear of judgment. I’ll challenge you when it’s needed, but always with empathy and respect.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in an impoverished inner-city neighborhood, where I witnessed both the struggles of systemic injustice and the power of community activism — leading me to pursue social work early in my career. Over time, I felt called to deepen my impact and expand my ability to support others, which led me back to school to become a psychologist.

My goals for you

I help clients reach their goals by first creating a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. From there, we clarify what truly matters to them — not just what they’ve been told they “should” want.

Our first session

The first session with me is a welcoming space filled with questions, smiles, and even some laughter. It’s a time for us to get to know each other — your story, your goals, and what brought you here. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand where you’re at and what you hope to achieve, while making sure you feel comfortable and heard.
