My journey to mental healthcare

My journey toward becoming a mental health provider began in social services, where I worked as a case manager for five years. I then spent ten years working in the addiction field, supporting individuals and families as they navigated recovery, life challenges, and personal growth. I also have three years of experience as a school counselor.

A core part of my therapeutic work is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use CBT techniques to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this structured, goal-oriented approach, I empower clients to identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier coping skills.
