My communication style

I don't put myself on an expert pedestal. You're the expert in your own life, so you're in the driver's seat. If that feels uncertain, think of it as a driver's ed car: I'm there helping, but you're in control.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist after my own extensive search for help. Finding good, understanding support was discouraging. When I finally found a therapist who truly cared, I realized how few exist for people with out-of-the-box concerns. I decided to become one of those therapists.

My goals for you

This is your therapy, so you set your goals. If you're unsure what those should be, we'll explore together until the goals feel truly yours and you're motivated for growth.

Our first session

The first session is introductory and can be by phone or video. I'll ask about your past experiences, medications, family history, and current concerns. We'll discuss treatment goals right away. I'll also ask about emergency contacts, conduct a risk assessment, and review informed consent and confidentiality.
