My communication style

I think feeling safe would be a description of what it is like to work with me. In therapy, I believe, safety is job one. When people are safe and comfortable, then therapy can proceed.

My journey to mental healthcare

People are wired to just do some things better than others. I have, it seems, a helping capacity role built into my DNA. Each day excites me to continue on my journey and growth as a therapist and to continue to help others in their therapy efforts.

My goals for you

Goal setting will be driven primarily by the client - I do think people intuitively know how they desire to feel and what behaviors they desire to change. As a clinician, I'll work at providing any feedback that will facilitate the client's achievement of their therapy goals.

Our first session

An exploration of the client's goals and aspirations will be a high priority for us during that initial session. I do desire to establish rapport with the client and to set the client at ease. Once again, creating a safe atmosphere for the clients to do their work is the highest priority.
