Hi there, I'm Caterin!

I approach each therapy room with an open mind. I like to listen to the client's needs and goals in order to help me create a treatment plan that works for them. Each treatment plan is individualized to each client.

My focus

The populations I tend to work with most are people ages 18 and up. Populations that are currently experiencing any changes or transitions tend to be the populations I work with.

My approach

I use the Rogerian approach in therapy, which creates a non-judgmental, empathetic environment that encourages clients to express themselves freely. Through unconditional positive regard and active listening, I help clients explore their feelings and experiences, facilitating personal growth and self-acceptance.

In sessions, I like to create a safe space where clients feel comfortable exploring the different thoughts and emotions that come up for them.

Understanding ourselves as humans and learning to give ourselves grace has been a driving force for me in pursuing therapy.

When setting goals, I take a collaborative approach where I ensure that clients are actively involved in defining their objectives. I create a space where clients track small goals and celebrate all the victories along the way.

Our first session

During the first session, we will define goals and the roles that we will each have in the therapeutic session. We will go over the legal rights clients have and make sure they are fully understood.
