Hi there, I'm Kaitlyn!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Oregon. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples and specialize in anxiety, high-stress management, relationship concerns, and conflict resolution.

My focus

My primary client focus is on couples or individuals who are struggling with relationship concerns. I find that this work can happen at all stages, whether a couple is preparing to transition forward or going through a separation. Relationships are complex, and I approach this work without any judgment and with a neutral and supportive role.

My approach

My approach to therapy is really dependent on the client and their individual goals. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all intervention and that each client's unique journey should guide the approach that we take in our sessions together.

My communication style

My communication style is to be very receptive and non-judgmental of anything you need to process. I also take a realistic approach and focus on building trust in the therapeutic relationship that allows for us to have harder conversations, with the goal of leading to positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have worked in the mental health field for 15 years, and it has always been the career field I knew I was passionate about. I have experience in inpatient psychiatry, intensive outpatient, clinical/outpatient, as a deployed service member, crisis intervention, and educational mental health.

My goals for you

My initial goal with a new client is to get to know you and your story. Once that is established, I like to help you set goals that are relevant and achievable for you. Each client's goals will look different, and my intention is to create steps and plans alongside you to move towards your treatment goals.

Our first session

During our first session, we will spend the majority of the time talking about your reason for seeking therapy and what is impacting you right now in this moment. We will also spend time getting to know each other and building the initial trust that will create a space where you feel safe to be your true self.
