Hi there, I'm Kyra!

I work with clients across the lifespan and am passionate about creating an emotionally safe, spiritually affirming, and trauma-informed space. My goal is to help you become more aware of the patterns that have shaped you, discover new possibilities for healing, and grow into a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentic.

My focus

I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and unresolved trauma. I see children, teens, adults, and older adults. My ideal client is ready to be real about the patterns that keep showing up and the pain they've learned to live with.

My approach

My work is rooted in psychodynamic theory, trauma-focused care, and relational therapy. I focus not just on symptom relief but on understanding the deeper patterns and emotional experiences that influence how you show up in the world. We'll explore how early relationships, past wounds, and generational stories affect your present experience.

My communication style

Clients have shared that I bring a calm, thoughtful presence to therapy. I'm relational and grounded, and I ask meaningful questions that help you look inward. I believe in creating space for vulnerability without judgment. I'm not afraid to name patterns, speak truth with compassion, or sit with you in the gray areas.

My journey to mental healthcare

My path to becoming a therapist was led by both calling and lived experience. I saw how mental health took a toll on the streets I walked. As a Black woman and a mom, I know how much strength it takes to hold space for others while trying to find your own. I've always been drawn to the deeper layers of people's stories.

My goals for you

I view therapy as a collaborative process in which we work together every step of the way. We'll co-create goals that reflect your hopes, values, and current challenges. Using both insight-oriented work and skills-based techniques, we'll look at what's working, what's not, and what you want to carry forward.

Our first session

In our first session, you can expect a safe and open space where you can speak freely about what brought you to therapy. We'll go over your history, explore current concerns, and begin identifying what matters most to you. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your emotional world and the context of your challenges.
