Hi there, I'm Christy!

Taking the first step to start therapy can be the hardest part. I take a client-centered, strength-based approach to tailor each session based on your established goals. Therapy allows us to explore ways to support and empower your needs. We will work together to find balance and develop tools to reach and maintain these goals.

My focus

I work with adults dealing with life transitions, managing anxiety, and overcoming trauma issues. I enjoy working with a variety of people from all walks of life. I'll work with you to develop a plan which may include developing or refining coping skills, setting personal goals, and exploring relationships and communication.

My approach

I believe in a client-focused, strength-based approach guided by warm humor and authenticity. I also believe in bringing the best practices from several types of therapy together to meet the unique needs of individuals.

My communication style

I provide a non-judgmental environment, practicing active listening with a forthcoming, personable, connected style. We will work together for you to feel comfortable sharing while being able to self-reflect and work to reach your goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always believed that some type of therapy or support is beneficial for every person. I am always in awe of the resilience of people and the experiences that have shaped their lives. I enjoy helping others to define their goals and set ways to succeed, and seeing the success of clients based on their own definition of success.

Our first session

Our first session will be a lot of information gathering, and give us an opportunity to connect in a comfortable space. There is no need to come fully prepared with a list of goals and things you would like to accomplish; we will work on these things together.
