I work with adults and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. I'm a big proponent of pet therapy, and I'm on a first-name basis with many of my clients' pets, as their presence during sessions provides a calming atmosphere.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist began during my clinical practicum at a long-term care facility serving an indigent population with mental health challenges. This population was greatly overlooked regarding mental health services. This lack of accessible care led me on my path to becoming a therapist. It was a great decision.

An initial assessment consists of exploring what led you to therapy and a brief conversation to establish rapport. Next comes gathering information about your history and personal experiences. This may feel daunting as you're revealing your story to a stranger, which is why we start with that brief conversation first.
