My counseling style is pretty laid-back. I want to help you work through your personal struggles and stressors while providing a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My focus

I have worked with many adults experiencing psychological issues. Reasons those individuals sought treatment included anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation disorders, anger management, communication and relationship issues, and a desire to change maladaptive behaviors such as substance use.

My approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior therapies during sessions while maintaining a Motivational Interviewing approach. This means we can discuss your personal struggles, and I can teach you effective coping skills to manage your emotions, thoughts, and everyday experiences.

I have been described as supportive, caring, compassionate, and possessing a good sense of humor. I'm here to help you navigate the difficult things and provide a safe space for you to be open and honest without fear of judgment.

Anyone can face a challenging event, relationship, or symptom that prompts them to seek professional help. We all need individuals who can provide a safe and non-judgmental space for learning and growth. I enjoy helping others regain control of their lives by teaching them more effective coping strategies.

During the first session, I would like to get to know you better. I may ask various questions to gain a deeper understanding of how you perceive yourself, others, and your environment. Then, based on your individualized treatment plan, I will develop an approach tailored to meet your therapeutic goals.
