Hi there, I'm Janice!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. At this time, my practice is focused on working with adults who experience depression, anxiety, or need a space to share to increase perspective-taking.

My focus

Typically, I work with adults eighteen and above. I feel comfortable working with depression, anxiety, adapting to life transitions, work-related stress, and setting limits/boundaries with difficult individuals.

My approach

I use evidence-based practices. These are empirically studied therapy approaches that have been proven to help clients achieve their emotional goals. My approaches include Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy.

I work to create an environment of mutual respect, learning/skills acquisition, compassion, and irreverent humor.

My journey to mental healthcare

As an undergrad, I worked as a Peer Mentor by helping classmates/peers with coaching and encouragement. I became fascinated with the work of a therapist while watching programs that featured Mental Health Professionals: Frazier, Dr. Katz, and In Treatment.
