My communication style

I bring cheerleading flexibility to sessions. As long as we're respectful, I'm not offended by profane language, though I believe word choice matters. I check in often to ensure we understand each other. We discuss hard things in truthful, positive ways while giving ourselves grace and patience as we grow.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always been curious about why people do what they do. I truly believe all people are born good, and when our journey gets skewed, we're capable of making better choices. I like finding that for myself, but especially for my clients.

My goals for you

You write your treatment plan by sharing your desired goals and outcomes. I draft specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely goals with steps to meet them. We review progress each session and do complete reviews quarterly. This empowers you to find tools that work.

Our first session

I make the first session comfortable and chatty. We discuss your goals and outcomes while I explain tools and interventions. I ask several times if you have questions or concerns, reading the room and offering support as needed. I reinforce that you're the most important person in the room.
