Hi there, I'm Roberto!

I help and aid clients who may be feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Those who desire to make a change in their lives but have barriers that are getting in their way. My goal is to provide aid and support to overcome both known and unknown barriers in your life. To aid you in regaining control and not allow barriers to have control over you.

My focus

I work with adolescents and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety and depressive presentations. Along with children who may be struggling with managing and regulating ADHD symptom presentations. Together, we will work on building grounding and regulation skills to help empower you and regain control.

My approach

I primarily utilize person-centered therapy to determine the client's needs and the focus needed for care. In order to transition to utilizing other techniques to identify and overcome barriers you face in daily life. I also incorporate mindfulness and expressive arts in order to aid in the identification and grounding of emotions.

My communication style

I prioritize engagement and understanding of your concerns. I establish a judgment-free zone to identify emotions and barriers that impede achieving your goals. In order to recognize the frustrating or complex emotions. While also uncovering solutions or alternatives to your current barriers in life.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey as a therapist was to be able to provide the same therapeutic space that was provided for me to grow. It inspired me to be able to provide the required space for clients to be able to feel like they have the support they desire.

My goals for you

I see therapy as a way to have someone aid and guide you through your concerns. Through this teamwork, we can identify the major challenges and repetitive patterns in your life. As these challenges may change, we set and reset goals as determined by your needs.

Our first session

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. It provides me with an understanding of what your needs are and what goals you have in self-improvement. I do not expect you to fully open up in the initial session, but provide an opportunity of trust and work together at your pace to aid in you regaining the direction you desire.
