Hi there, I'm Susan!
I am an LISW-CP and ACSW licensed in the state of South Carolina. Recognizing the need to share your vulnerability can be difficult and overwhelming, and not knowing how to move forward leaves us stuck and unable to creatively think of solutions. I assist clients in building solutions to cope, prosper, and enjoy what is present.
My focus
I work as a consultant to you, looking at behaviors and skills attempted in the past, developing self-awareness regarding responses, and providing psycho-education on life processes and transitions. I want you to gain the ability to generate your own ideas for interventions based on your current conditions.
My approach
Using a collaborative approach, I utilize DBT, CBT, Mindfulness-based CBT, personality development, and IFS with a Trauma focus. One therapeutic approach does not fit all, so based on your development and comfort, a variety of modalities may be used. Most important is your comfort with my approach and motivation to seek improvement.
