My communication style

I am very direct; you will not get a roundabout thought from me. I am empathetic and understanding, and I focus on our therapeutic alliance and rapport. I will assist you in making the best choices collaboratively. Your treatment plan will be a joint effort, not prescribed, as you are the expert on yourself.

My journey to mental healthcare

I originally planned to become a doctor but discovered my passion for psychology. After meeting an Army social worker, I pursued that path and became a Behavioral Health Officer. I continue to serve the Veteran community in this capacity.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We work together to identify your goals and create a path forward that honors your unique needs and strengths.

Our first session

Our first session will focus on rapport building and identifying the issue you are seeking help with. We will go over outcome measures and screening tools and assess for mental health diagnosis; however, I focus on diagnoses only to guide treatment, not to dictate it. Every individual is unique with their unique needs and desires.
