Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! Asking for help isn’t always easy. It takes courage to take the first step in making the changes you want for your journey. My name is Lindsay Del Valle, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I work with a variety of clients, using many different approaches, strategies, and techniques. I want to meet my clients where they are and follow their lead in working on the goals they want to work on.
My approach
My main goal in therapy is to create a safe and welcoming space where you are able to share your story while being heard and valued. I use a variety of theoretical approaches in my work, with the client’s needs being my main focus.
My focus
I work with clients of many different ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religious backgrounds. I am comfortable treating a variety of different mental health issues and disorders. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions.
My communication style
I am here to walk with you through the therapeutic process. I will be genuine, caring, and compassionate, as I support you on your journey. I try to be an active listener and allow you a safe space to be vulnerable and speak openly.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always had a passion for helping others. Life can be really hard to navigate sometimes. It’s great to have an outside perspective to help us look at things from a different angle or try new approaches and techniques. Other times, it’s helpful to have someone just listen to you, and really hear you. I aspire to be a positive support person, in whatever capacity they need in that life moment.
My goals for you
I want to ensure that your goals are tailored to meet your specific needs. I believe that you are the expert on your story, and together we will focus on your strengths!
My first session with you
During an initial session, I try to create a safe space for my clients to tell me their main concerns and stressors, things that have been helpful, and what they are hoping to achieve through therapy. This is also an opportunity for clients to ask me any questions they may have about my experience and approach.
