Hi there, I'm Cassandra!

I believe that we learn to create meaningful connections from infancy that support us in becoming self-sufficient, emotionally intelligent adults. I enjoy my work with children and have a keen affection for infant mental health.

My focus

I enjoy working with children and their parents in discovering strategies that will reduce difficult behaviors and help children regulate their emotions successfully in different contexts. I work with children individually to help them reinforce their strengths and abilities to succeed with peers and promote problem-solving skills.

My approach

We will use a strength-based, solution-focused approach to meet your counseling goals. We will do this through thoughtful interactions that can include, but are not limited to, play, journaling, visualizations, and age-appropriate thinking strategies.

My communication style

Having a good sense of humor is often necessary to remind us that we are the responsible healers of our journey and that of our children. Maintaining a positive outlook helps to identify strengths that will be used to achieve your counseling goals.

Setting goals can sometimes feel overwhelming. Often we are not certain of where to begin with what needs to change or where to affect the most change. Goal setting is not a task and will be handled with utmost care to ensure the most out of your action plans.

Our first session

During our first session, we will share some of the expectations that we have for each other and take care of some of the logistics of ensuring confidentiality and telemedicine. We will also schedule your next appointments and ensure that you have all of the resources that you need if you need help in between sessions.
