I work best with people who enjoy introspection and want to learn and explore the connection between events, thoughts, and emotions. I help people by examining the discrepancy between what they want and where they are. In addition to insight, action is necessary.
My approach
I use cognitive behavior therapy to examine the words you speak to yourself and what you believe about yourself, other people, the world, and the future. I use motivational interviewing to help you talk about the changes you want to make and address the ambivalence all people have when deciding to take action, change behavior, or think differently.
